30 Days of Torchwood: Day 2

Day 02 – Your favourite series
Hm, it definitely wasn't the third series (too sad, too short, no hub, even though it probably had the strongest writing/etc), the fourth hasn't aired yet but I'm not holding out much hope.

Despite the dodgy episodes I think I'm going to have to go with Series One. Don't get me wrong, in Series two they really get into the swing of the things, there are far less dodgy episodes and crappy character motivations. But the same way that Jack in S1 is different from Jack in DW, Jack in S2 is different from Jack in S1. He's so much more of a fuck up, he's got the vague idea he should try, but that's it.

Adsghjk, maybe it isn't Series one. I just went to pull up the episode lists and point out that Series One had more of my favourite episodes in them, but then I realised how many episodes I loved in S2. S2 has the fantastic storyline with Owen, which is truly epic and I adore on so many levels. It has Fragments with the flashbacks. It has JM and bits of Jack's past. Gosh, it has a time agent. But then S1 has all these new shiny faces to learn, it has Small Worlds, Countrycide and Cyber Woman, which I think are fantastic episodes. But the Big Bad is pretty shit, but it does have the proper CJH.

Ok, S2, I think, just, but only because the finale makes more sense, the Owen storyline is epic, and the sheer amount of flashbacks we get. Yeah.
