Any computer peeps on the flist? Because this is driving me mad.

So, my desktop keeps freezing up, it's a proper freeze, I can't get the capslock, etc, on the keyboard to even light up.

It happens in both Windows XP and Fedora Core 9 with the same symptoms. (I know, my Fedora install is waaaay out of date, lemme alone).

I figured it was a USB issue, I did have:

bluetooth, keyboard, mouse, stereo, an external plugged in.

So, I've gone down to a USB mouse and a PS/2 keyboard. Still happens.

Occasionally it even won't get past the BIOS, just sits there and hangs, at which point I have to flip the switch on the psupply itself to turn it off.

So, I'm kinda thinking motherboard or harddisk. Any ideas of what to do next? The problem is I can't consistently reproduce the behaviour, if it happened each time I'd just pull out each component (/replace with one I know is working) and try it out, but I mean, I don't know. It just blew my mind and worked for over an hour whilst I backed some stuff up.

:-/ Ideas? I can't have a pc randomly crashing. Hardware. Ugh.
